रोपण की विधियाँ:

सामान्यतः इसके रोपण की दो विधियाँ प्रचलन में हैं:

  1. रिंग पोल विधि:
    इसमें प्रति एकड़ 2000 पौधे लगाए जा सकते हैं और इस विधि से ड्रैगन फ्रूट रोपण की प्रति एकड़ की लागत 5,50,000 से 6,00,000 तक आ सकती है।

  2. ट्रेलिस विधि:
    इसमें प्रति एकड़ 6000 तक पौधे लगाए जा सकते हैं और इस विधि में रोपण की लागत 10,50,000 तक आ सकती है।

Planting Methods

Typically, there are two methods of planting:

  1. Ring Pole Method:

    • In this method, 2,000 plants can be planted per acre.
    • The cost for this method is approximately ₹5,50,000 to ₹6,00,000 per acre for Dragon Fruit planting.

  2. Trellis Method:

    • In this method, up to 6,000 plants can be planted per acre.
    • The cost for this method can be as high as ₹10,50,000 per acre.

Lifespan of the Plant

This plant generally produces fruits for 20 to 25 years.

Yield

Since this is a long-lifespan plant, it takes three years to reach full production capacity, but the plant starts yielding from the second year onwards.

Yearly Yield:

  • First Year: 2 kg per plant
  • Second Year: 4 kg per plant
  • From Fourth Year to 18–20 Years: 6–10 kg per plant
